                  About The Author

Glen River is a novelist, short-story writer, poet, visual artist, movie maker and creator of Zen Process DYNAMICA. He was first published as a singer/songwriter. In 1970 he earned a M.F.A. From Yale school of Art. His poetry was published in 1971. His visual art has been exhibited internationally.

Painting since childhood, and making photographs since 12 years of age, visual art has played an important part in River’s creative life and literature of understanding. It is only natural that these talents would be combined in movie making.

The conceptual architecture of his learning was a result of challenges to his perception. These were dyslexia, and an interest in seeing beyond illusion which was inspired by Harry Houdini. More interest was prompted by systems analysis derived from computer programming, and by self-study which was influenced by PD Ouspensky, Gurdjieff, Jose Silva, Sufi poets and myths of the human voyage.

River continues to be profoundly interested in the primitive subconscious and stories about reunification with nature. Tremendously prolific, River’s work decidedly tends to pursue a more independent path. Zen Process is the transcendent consciousness his art achieves. River explains it this way … " It is like Zen Archery... art is the bow. The music, the painting, the poetry, the books, the movies, and DYNAMICA, they are all the arrows. The eye, the mind, the heart and the bow … they are all Zen Process."
